ABOUT BETHEL ESTATE
Bethel Farm is a developmental diverse farming operation in Ixopo. It is a registered private family farm whose mandate is to create an impactful and redemptive plan of God in the area where it is located in every aspect of its operations. It is led by two black women – a dynamic mother and daughter Tea. The duo is skillfully combing years of experience while transferring know how to the younger generation a great story of hope in South Africa. The leadership of the farm is black and young and shaking the agriculture industry with new ideas and new ways of doing things. The Farm is 386ha in extent. It is located in the Harry Gwala District, in the UBuhlebezwe Municipality in the local area known as Inhlamvini in the province of Kwazulu Natal. The farm has put in place a 10 – year plan and this is the plan that will be manifested at the farm within the next 24 – 36 months. A very ambitious target indeed.
Though a newcomer in agriculture, Bethel Farm has made great strides in the Agricultural Sector and now on its way to its next phase of development it is looking for strategic partners to drive its 10 – year plan. Already it has secured off take agreements even in the most difficult part of the farming business – vegetables. The company’s dual strategy is food security and superfoods. Surprisingly as a new comer, Bethel Farm has already supplied to the retail, wholesale and mass markets in its young life. Driven by the need to grow both organically and acquisitively, Bethel Farm is now looking beyond its own provincial operations to grow. In August 2021 the entity has ventured to supply into Gauteng signalling its readiness to expand. Its greatest empowerment story is that its employees is made up of rural people with low levels of education but the Bethel duo believes that their task is to assist to lift up the poor from dust so that they can sit with princes and they are doing that and looking for like- minded strategic partners to join them to build a country of hope.
